The second edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) will feature night matches under floodlights, confirmed by the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN).
CAN Secretary Paras Khadka revealed this in a podcast with the Sudurpaschim Royals franchise. CAN spokesperson Chhumbi Lama also confirmed that night games at TU Cricket Ground, Kirtipur are part of the plan, provided the stadium upgrades are completed in time.
Ongoing upgrades at TU Cricket Ground include:
A new 15,000-capacity parapet
Installation of 6 floodlights
The construction deadline was originally set for the end of Asar (mid-July), but since it wasn't completed on time, the contractor was penalized, and the deadline was extended.
Key Dates for NPL Season 2:

Mini Auction to be held in August
Player registration has already closed, and the final player list will be announced soon, according to CAN spokesperson Lama.
